Iga Swiatek Partners with Lancome as Cosmetic Sponsor
Iga Swiatek, the world No. 1 tennis player, exudes confidence and glamour with her signature striking red lip. In a groundbreaking move, Swiatek has become the newest brand ambassador for Lancôme cosmetics, marking a historic first for both a Polish woman and a female athlete.
Swiatek announced this momentous partnership through her social media channels on Monday, just before defending her title at the Porsche Tennis Grand Prix in Stuttgart. She shared her excitement about the collaboration, revealing that her journey with Lancôme began when she received their Idôle perfume as a gift in her teenage years.
In a bold and captivating photoshoot, the 22-year-old athlete showcased Lancôme products while dressed in a sleek black jumpsuit adorned with sheer cutouts against a pristine white backdrop. Expressing her gratitude and disbelief at the opportunity, Swiatek expressed her joy at becoming the first Polish ambassador for Lancôme and the first athlete to join the ranks of ambassadors like Zendaya and Julia Roberts.
Swiatek emphasized her enthusiasm for embracing her femininity through this collaboration, recognizing that as a tennis player predominantly clad in sportswear, she hasn’t had many opportunities to do so in the past. This partnership allows her to celebrate her identity and explore new facets of her personality.
Swiatek’s collaboration with Lancôme goes beyond endorsing cosmetics; she will also work with the brand on an initiative in Poland aimed at empowering women in the job market. In an official statement shared on social media, Lancôme celebrated Swiatek, describing her as the embodiment of their expertise in the beauty industry and as a voice for the younger generation, serving as an inspiration to all.
Following her recognition as the world’s highest-earning female athlete for 2023 by Forbes in December, Swiatek’s sponsorship portfolio continues to expand. With an estimated income of $23.9 million last year, she has secured partnerships with various prominent brands, including Visa, Porsche, On apparel, Rolex, LEGO, and Poland’s leading insurance company PZU.
